Females now account for 26 percent of the on-course golfer population. This is the highest percentage on record and a jump from 20 percent in 2011.Since 2019, the net gain among on-course female golfers is 1.4 million players. Seven million women played on-course in 2023. This is the highest participation rate since an all-time high in 2006. Among the 45 million Americans who play any kind of golf, on or off course, 33 percent are female.
